• Dare to be different.

Most people are attracted to difference: they like things that stand out, an odd-ball partner, a novel holiday, an exotic menu, but the irony is that they don't like to stand out themselves.

Maybe this inconsistency in human behaviour shows us how to win at interviews: be different.

One simple example: don't answer a closed question in a closed way. "How are you with detail?" Don't just say, "Very good I believe." - everybody says that! So what makes you different? You follow the stock answer with an achievement that illustrates the point. #proteuscareermanagement
