• Success doesn’t usually come from applying our transferable skills and utilising our strengths.

It comes instead from our ability to relate to and communicate with other people: people whose abilities complement and supplement our own.

Fortunately we are all different and we all have different transferable skills and strengths.

A few are determined and decisive, others are inspiring and influential, many are sensitive and supportive whilst some are cautious and calculating.

It’s easy to communicate with those who are similar to ourselves, but most success comes from your emotional intelligence and your integrity - which is partly to do with handling interpersonal relationships thoughtfully and empathically, but also about showing equal respect to others irrespective of their status. #proteuscareermanagement#personaldevelopment#attitude#communicationskills
