Want to become a better interviewee?

Want to become a better interviewee?

Some say it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert, but more realistically, going from knowing very little to being quite good at something, such as interviews, takes around 20 hours of planning, preparation and practice.

However this is not as easy as it first seems, particularly when we are usually pretty good at everything else we tackle.

"I'm good at planning projects for my employer, doing all the preparatory work and I'm really good at presentations to colleagues and clients. So why do I feel like such a novice when it comes to interviews?"

The answer is simple - because you are! As with everything else we get better by practising: the challenge with interviews is that we don't quite know what it is we should be practising, which is why the most accomplished interviewees are those who use a coach.
