Bathgate arranged a sale & leaseback against existing unencumbered engineering machinery for this construction company.
An expert in its field of manufacture, our customer had recently undertaken a huge re-structure of its business.
It had grown to a considerable size but had moved away from its core products and this had affected profitability.Hard_hat.jpg
The re-structure had seen the company downsize its workforce and its premises, but having done this, the company was now receiving quality enquiries and orders from blue chip customers.
We met with the Managing Director to discuss their requirements.
Stock was a huge commitment for the company - orders, when placed, were draining the company of cash due to the raw material costs, but we could see that an initial cash injection would enable these orders to be fulfilled.
A number of unencumbered engineering machines were identified as having sufficient value, and a sale and leaseback was written against these, releasing £50,000 back into the company's cashflow.
The time from authorisation of the paperwork to release of funds directly to our customer took less than 24 hours.
