Summary

I consider myself a farmer’s son turned digital creative who has been within the web tech sector since early 2000.
I started out as an apprentice aged 16 with an early internet start-up and continued with the company for several years before commencing my journey across Northwest agencies via various roles. Including Designer, Developer, SEO & Studio Manager, and eventually Digital Director for a well-known Cheshire-based agency.

Following these very individual chapters of my story, I founded Authenticity in 2019 where I am operating as Managing & Creative Director today.

Having been very fortunate in my career I am incredibly proud of my involvement in projects for the likes of FIAT, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Liverpool FC, Tessuti, ITC, Clive Cristian, the Rybrook Group and the award-winning REGGIE® mobile app. This pride also flows through to more personal projects for conservation organisations like Wolf Watch UK, authors John French and Aaron Dembski-Bowden of Black Library and Warhammer fame, and our partnership with Pavement Entertainment in the US.

I love the opportunity to play with new ideas and as a creative first, I think it's super important that you 'play' because that's how you progress. I am a huge fan of typography, brand, UI & UX design alongside more traditional arts (I often take time to just paint/draw/read away from the fast-paced digital life..) As both a thinker and feeler I find the balance of aesthetics against the technical challenges one of the more fascinating areas of life and design.

I like to take inspiration from multiple sources including digital and design influences but also in the arena of personal experience to try and approach digital in a more holistic manner that is ultimately rewarding for all.
