Marta Williamson's Testimonial

I would like thank Marta Williamson for providing me with my LPA (Lasting Power of Attorney).

As someone who doesn’t tend to think too far ahead, an LPA is something I’ve often heard mentioned but have never considered myself as needing.

However, with my father passing away a few years ago, leaving my mother (who suffered from severe dementia) as his beneficiary, the family were unable to access any of her accounts or make any decisions regarding her home. There was no LPA in place for either her health care or her finances.

Should a similar thing have happened to me, it would have affected my personal finances and my business. The mortgages on my rental portfolio would have been affected, and the bank accounts for our businesses would have been frozen. We wouldn’t have been able to pay suppliers, or staff. Our businesses would have been in limbo.

Furthermore, I would have been liable to face legal action from suppliers and clients for not having the necessary protection in place. Quite an eye-opening prospect.

Marta was able to explain the process, and ensure everything was handled (including those dreaded forms we all hate) in a very swift manner.

I would not only recommend Marta, but would implore anyone who runs a business and employs staff to speak with her about a Lasting Power of Attorney. It’s the responsible thing to do.
