The Lookout Point, Rhosneigr
The Lookout Point is a proposed development of 6 dwellings, 3 town houses and 3 detached houses.
The site has a significant gradient and a number of substantial buildings adjacent, making it something of a challenge architecturally.
Following their brief Buju Architects produced three alternative schemes and once the preferred scheme had been chosen they very quickly produced several visualisation models which proved extremely helpful in view of the gradient and context of this development. Modelling at this early stage is often not provided and with a difficult site such as this can be vital in obtaining the correct interaction between buildings.
The scheme has been worked up to planning stage and we await a decision in due course. In the meantime Buju Architects have worked closely with us to deliver a design which fits our requirements and we look forward to working with them on the next stages.

I was looking to modernise and expand my dental practice and I chose to work with Andy after recommendation from a friend. I found the design experience enjoyable and stress-free. Andy and Chris were great at communicating their vision and were always open to dialogue regarding different design ideas. They dealt with my project in a professional and meticulous manner. Overall a fantastic experience.

We bought a dated 3 bedroom bungalow in Rhosneigr knowing it needed extensive work. We wanted to create another bedroom with en suite, an external entrance wet room, redesigned bedroom and living area and redesign surrounding grounds, but we were short on ideas. Andy Wilde was fantastic. He came up with several options to choose from with varying budgets. He was very professional and experienced and had good knowledge of aspects particular to the region. He was also very nice and pleasant to me and my family, including dog! I would definitely recommend him to anyone thinking about doing work to their home.

We selected Andy based on a recommendation from some friends and now honestly we can't recommend Andy enough ourselves. We are looking to extend our fairly standard 1950’s semidetached house to add an extra bedroom, bathroom and large kitchen dinner. After listening to our requirements and really taking time to understand to how we currently use our spaces and garden Andy has worked with us to create some exciting designs that are really well thought through, not just for how they will look but also how we will live in and use the new space. Using 3D modelling Andy provided us with designs showing the impact of shading (or lack of it) on our neighbors which has really helped to get them on side and ease any concerns they may have had. Whilst initially tempted to just use a standard draftsman to save a bit of money we are so pleased we did not, we can already see we would have made several costly mistakes and would have ended up with a building that did not even come close meet its maximum potential as a family home. Our plans are now submitted for planning permission and we can't wait to work with Andy on the next phase.

To have somebody understand when you talk about the way you currently live and the way you see yourself living is important
We organised a consultation, It was clear very quickly that Andy has an ‘eye’. Young and enthusiastic he quickly understood where we were coming from. He was asking all the right questions. He took the time to slowly and precisely look around the plot. I could almost hear the cogs whirring in his head, I knew instantly that he was the right person
