• Employment Law Update

Do you employ term time only or zero-hour workers?

If so, you may want to reconsider how you calculate holiday pay.

There has been a new employment tribunal update that has stated permanent employees should get a full 5.6 weeks' annual leave a year, with pay calculated over a 52-week average.

Previously it was common practice that you could pay an uplift of 12.07% on top of their hourly rate to cover holiday pay, which is now not being advised.

If your are a little confused about what term time only or zero hour employees are entitled to or how to keep track of it, drop me a message.
